This powder diffractometer is typically used in the Bragg-Bretao geometry for Phase identification, particle size/strain analysis, preferred orientation measurements, and Rietveld refinements. The system consists of a 3 kW generator, fully ceramic Cu Long fine focus (LFF), X-ray tube, vertical goniometer (theta-theta) and a PIXcel 1d detector. An Antron-Paar TTK 450 stage allows for measurements in the -173-400°C range. Typical samples are approximately 50 mg, but small and/or air-sensitive samples can also be measured.
