CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was critically wounded in a shootout with a University of Chicago Police officer late Tuesday morning in Hyde Park, a few blocks north of campus. "Today, I thought I was going to die because I saw blood coming from my neck, thinking I was shot, again. Even a week after it happened, it still wasnt real to her that Shaoxiong Dennis Zheng, her boyfriend, had been shot dead. At a court hearing last week, prosecutors said Zheng was walking home from campus in the 900 block of East 54th Place when 18-year-old Alton Spann got out of a stolen Ford Mustang. The 26-year-old was driving just before 11 a.m. in the 700 block of East Midway Plaisance when someone in a white Nissan.
