Our Mission
The Materials Research Facilities Network (MRFN) is a nationwide partnership of shared experimental facilities that are partnered with and/or supported by the National Science Foundation's Material Research Science and Engineering Centers (MRSECs). MRFN is designed to facilitate access to these facilities by researchers in academia, industry, and government. Each MRSEC has its own means of meeting this goal.

The MRFN materials instrumentation database is currently transitioning to a new, more highly functional platform with advanced search and retrieval capabilities. In the interim before this new service is available, you can visit the websites of constituent MRSECs to find descriptions of their instrumentation offerings.
